October 24th Reading

Join us for two hours of science fiction and fantasy reading at Cafe Racer on Wednesday, October 24th.


  • Signups start at 6:30 pm
  • Five minute readings from signup 7:00 – 7:50 pm
  • Invited reader 8:00 – 9:00 pm


Laura Lucas is a poet, fiction writer and essayist of Polish and African-American descent. She is an alumna of the VONA/Voices Writing Workshop and an Artist Trust EDGE graduate.  Her writing has appeared iRigorousPoplorish, Line Zero, Imaginaire, Six Hens, and Dead Housekeeping, among others. She lives and writes in Seattle, WA.


Andrew Penn Romine is a writer and animator living in Seattle. When he’s not wrangling words, robots, cavemen, or dragons, he dabbles in craft cocktails and virtual reality.

A graduate of the Clarion West workshop, his fiction appears online at Lightspeed Magazine, Paizo and Crossed Genres as well as in the anthologies Fungi, After The Fall, What Fates Impose, By Faerie Light, Coins of Chaos, and Help Fund My Robot Army. You can find his full list of publications at his website: andrewpennromine.com
