Invited Reader Bios

Anne Bean lives in Seattle, Washington where she obsesses over comics, fairy tales, and book design. Her writing has appeared in Urban Fantasy Magazine, Animal Literary Journal, The Establishment, and Tell Me A Fable from Dark Opus Press. She’s made comics with Noel Franklin, Ben Horak, Laura D. Eileen Gunn’s work has received the Nebula Award in the US and the Sense of Gender Award in Japan, and has been nominated for the Hugo, Philip K. Dick, and World Fantasy awards and short-listed for the James Tiptree, Jr. award. Her stories have been published in Asimov’s, Tor.com, Nature, and elsewhere; her most recent collection, Questionable Practices, appeared in 2014 from Small Beer Press. She says, “I have a story coming out in April, in a rather surprising venue, which hasn’t announced it yet. I’ll read from it on Wednesday.”
